In May, Swedish actress Alicia Vikander confirmed that she has been signed as a spokesmodel for Louis Vuitton, and she's managed to look just about perfect in the label's wares at every press appearance before and since. So it's no surprise to see Vikander's mysterious, sometimes moody visage in the company's fall ad campaign alongside Jennifer Connelly, another of Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière's muses.
The brand enlisted photographers Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber to photograph a series of independent images, which will appear together in magazine pages starting in August (see below). Teller shot Vikander, Connelly and models Angel Rutledge, Liya Kebede and Fernanda Ly near Barcelona at an unnamed sculptor's home. The stark and rugged concrete stands in contrast to the vibrant colors and textures the women are wearing.
Weber's images take color out of consideration. He photographed models Freja Beha, Rianne van Rompaey and Julia Merkelbach on black and white film at an airfield in Miami. Most of his images feature voluminous fur coats, given even more texture with the grain of the film.
