There are a couple of collections that cause a bona fide sensation each season, launching never-ending wait lists, countless fast fashion copies and taking over editors', bloggers' and retailers' social media feeds. Miu Miu's spring 2010 collection debut was one such show — the one with the long side braids, platform clogs, playful prints of cats, birds, dogs and lounging nudes, and rhinestones galore.

The sweet-meets-sexy mood of the collection made it an instant hit, and for months it was unavoidable, from street style shots to magazine editorials. While fans who were able to purchase items from the runway have likely retired them to the backs of their closets, they're probably going to want to break them out again pretty soon, as Miuccia Prada reprised many of them in the label's resort 2016 collection.

The brand staged a runway show in the open-for-one-night-only Club Miu Miu in Paris on Saturday, and the mussy-haired models looked ready for (and a bit roughed up from) a night of partying. The innocent prints from spring '10 were given a rock and roll update, mixed in with leather, latex, cowboy boots, heavy metal hardware and bold graphic elements like stripes and snakeskin. In another full-circle moment, Lindsey Wixon — who made her major industry debut as the face of Miu Miu's spring 2010 collection at just 15 years old — walked the show, wearing a take on the very same swallow print that helped make her famous.
