With New York Fashion Week coming up, I have found myself in the market for a watch. What is that, you ask? A timekeeping device worn around the wrist, which serves a practical function while communicating something about one's personal style. Unlike a cell phone, (analog) watches do not die from excessive tweeting, Instagramming and email-checking while traipsing up and down Manhattan to attend shows, which brings us to the mission at hand: to find a watch before September.
I do realize that charging packs are a thing, but go with me here. Having a Plan C is never a bad thing.
I found this guy while trolling around Need Supply the other week, and my mind keeps wandering back to it. The yellow ochre leather against the bright, minimalist stainless steel face is a positive joy to look at. Which is good, because once your phone is dead, you'll be doing a lot of it.
The Horse Silver/Tan Band Watch, $119, available at Need Supply.
