Christy Turlington — like her blossoming protégé, Karlie Kloss — is not just a businesswoman, but a business, woman. Now 46, the '90s supe runs marathons and her own nonprofit organization, Every Mother Counts, plus a few other pet projects. And let's not forget she still models from time to time. By this point, Turlington knows a thing or two about dressing for the high-powered boardroom, even if that simply means being able to style professional basics with aplomb.
At a New York screening of her husband Edward Burns's new TV series, "Public Morals,"on Wednesday, Turlington put her entrepreneurial prowess on display in a pre-fall 2015 Zero + Maria Cornejo shirtdress. With its crisp, boxy top and sleek midi skirt, the frock is certainly more conservative than the flashier looks we're using to seeing on the red carpet. But for Turlington, it works — she's really owning that came-straight-from-a-meeting-with-VCs aesthetic and making it her own.
