Actress Kristen Stewart has gotten a lot of grief from the media for not smiling for the cameras and generally playing against franchise "It"-girl type as much as possible throughout her "Twilight" years. But on Tuesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of her newest film, "American Ultra," Stewart shined — and smiled! — on the red carpet in a black sequined romper designed by Zuhair Murad.
With its deep V-neck and delicate flower pattern, the long-sleeved one piece is both edgy and feminine. Those are both hallmarks of Stewart's red carpet style, but the jumpsuit is a departure in that she tends to favor sleek suiting and separates. Stewart made it a bit more grunge with a messy low bun and very sharp cat-eye liner.
Despite the fact that Stewart still hasn't gotten used to wearing heels — almost falling in her pointy Jimmy Choo pair in front of the photogs — she kept the smiles coming like a true professional. Not even co-star Jesse Eisenberg could resist getting in on the grins. For someone whose picture was used this week to illustrate a New York Times article about resting bitch face, Stewart looked happy and at ease in her glamorous outfit. Alert the media.
