Designer, personal brand machine, former MTV reality star, "The Girl Who Didn't Go to Paris" and alleged basic bitch Lauren Conrad is heading to New York this fall to debut a limited edition capsule collection of her Kohl's line during New York Fashion Week.

Impatient LC fans won't have to wait until spring to get their hands on the vintage-inspired apparel, priced sensibly between $12 and $200, because it will be available for purchase immediately after the show. The newly created will stream the show live on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. ET.

"It's straight off the streets of New York... into this wonderland," says Conrad on the site about the collection, which Kohl's promises will feature a "clean, polished and pretty" (i.e. basic) aesthetic and "dip-dyed hues of forest green and sage, inspired by the mystery and enchantment of the forest." Ever on trend, Conrad will also incorporate Victorian detailing accessorized by "supple" leather handbags.

Conrad isn't a runway rookie, however. She showed a collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles in 2008 that New York Magazine called "sad, bizarre." Its celebrity front row consisted of all the "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills" people one would hope to see at such an event: Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth, Whitney Port, Brody Jenner, Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari. But five years after the series finale of "The Hills," surely Conrad's fashion and beauty careers have eclipsed her reality television roots and few if any of those MTV personalities will snag an invite.

Not to say that Kohl's didn't tease a bit of potential reality TV-esque drama in its press release for the event. Before the runway show begins, potential customers will be able to tune into a live stream pre-show "to see what’s happening backstage, see who's wearing what and catch exclusive celebrity interviews as Lauren and a few of her friends share their firsthand experiences using Periscope" (emphasis added by author). Obviously Bosworth will be there because her schedule is always free, but who else? New husband William Tell, for sure. Spencer and Heidi, if they can afford a plane ticket from Colorado to New York. Justin Bobby, though? Only in our wildest dreams.
