Street Style on Day 3 of NYFW Proves White Works After Labor Day

Lots of white looks on the street on day three of New York Fashion Week. Photos: Emily Malan/Fashionista
In terms of weather, day three of New York Fashion Week was a moody one. The skies looked ominous, like a thunderstorm could break at any time. But that didn't stop the fashion people from putting their best feet forward, sartorially speaking, and even opting for white and off-white looks that were prime targets for transparency in sudden rainstorms. (That's what car services are for!) And in a month when show-goers often try to get an early start on fall dressing by wearing thick coats in September heat, it's refreshing to see crisp white frocks and pants worn unabashedly in the face of antiquated rules about seasonal dressing and the threat of a downpour.
