Day two of New York Fashion Week saw some of the buzziest shows of the week: Jason Wu, Tanya Taylor, Zimmerman, Rosie Assoulin and, of course, the celebrity-filled Givenchy extravaganza that closed out the day. Thanks to clear skies and the occasional cool breeze, the weather allowed street style stars to get creative with layers — and even throw on a jacket or two.
Patterned pants in clean stripes and busy florals were a common thread among show-goers, as were dresses with big swathes of color. Many people dressed in honor of the designer they were going to see, especially for Tanya Taylor and Zimmerman. But the biggest accessory on the street was a fashionable friend for joint posing purposes. Whether they matched exactly or shared a love of lace tops, these stylish folk looked better together.
