Leading into Fashion Month, I acquired three of the five things on my fall shopping list, and by far the one I'm most pleased with is this merino wool sweater from Alexander Wang's T line.
It's made of a lightweight merino wool, with a ribbed neck and cuffs and two black varsity stripes on the sleeves. I bought it thinking that it would pair easily with black jeans and sneakers and a sleeveless coat, or a black miniskirt and boots, and I was right on both counts. But it also pairs pretty well with just about everything else I own, including my J.Crew mechanic's jacket and Vanessa Seward wrap skirt. The fabric is just right for the 50-65 degree weather Europe's been having, and it's easy to wash on the go, making it the MVP of my Fashion Month suitcase. I'm seriously thinking of buying a second one when I get back to the States.
T by Alexander Wang merino wool sweater, $275, available at Nordstrom.
