Alongside Burberry, Tom Ford's show is London Fashion Week's biggest draw. But after moving his fall 2015 show to LA in time for the Oscars last February, the designer has once again decided not to host a runway show in London this season.
A spokesperson for Ford said that the designer — whose second feature film, "Nocturnal Animals," is slated to go into production this fall — is "planning on something different and special," but was unable to confirm whether that "something different" would take place in London or elsewhere.
It's unusual that Ford would wait so long to announce his show plans, given that he publicized his decision to move his fall show to LA a full five months ahead of time. Then again, The Row only announced last week that it was moving its New York show — which had been slated to take place on Sept. 14 — to Paris this season.
News that Ford was not planning to show was first reported by Vanessa Friedman at The New York Times.
