Amazon shares go up 10 percent following surprise profit increase
Amazon share price went up 10 percent after the Seattle-based e-commerce website reported that it made a $79-million profit in the third quarter, or 17 cents a share. (Analysts had forecast a 13 cents per share loss.) {The New York Times}

Saint Laurent reopens its New York flagship boutique
Saint Laurent has reopened and expanded its New York flagship boutique on 3 East 57th Street with three floors, as opposed to two. The boutique, which originally opened in 2003, also includes a new elevator and staircase. {Fashionista Inbox}

Macy's and Bloomingdale's to open stores in Abu Dhabi
Macy's and Bloomingdale's will be opening stores in the Al Maryah Central development in Abu Dhabi in March 2018. It will be the first international store for Macy's, the second for Bloomingdale's. Next Wednesday, there will be a cocktail party at MoMA for Macy's and Bloomingdale's vendors. {WWD}
