Two winters ago, I wore a simple black knit beanie every single day. I wouldn't even take it off in the office. But then somewhere along the way between that winter and the next, the hat disappeared, never to be found again. The exact same style was no longer for sale and I spent months struggling to find a hat that fit my particular head and didn't make my short cropped hair flip out awkwardly. Fedoras and brimmed hats aren't my style, and most beanies were too stiff and tall.
Which is why I am so intrigued by Aritzia's wool angora blend headband. It has all the cozy benefits of a beanie without having a floppy top seam to worry about. It's wider in the front and is made of ribbed knit to ensure it doesn't slide up, but it's simple and flat unlike many wool headbands on the market. And at only $35, I won't be crushed when I inevitably lose it.
Aritzia Wilfred Malot Headband, $35, available at Aritzia.
