Carven, Stella McCartney, Juice Beauty — according to WWD, those are a just a few of the brands you'll find at Goop's upcoming pop-up shop in New York City, which will open just in time for all of your holiday shopping needs. Gwyneth Paltrow and her team named the shop New York Goop Mrkt (no typos here, possibly to avoid shoppers' confusion that this could be a market that sells actual goop), and the clientele will surely include those who need gifts for their luxury-loving friends and family, as well as those who just want to have a laugh while making their own Epsom salt bath mixture.
Although it's Goop's debut in New York City, the lifestyle brand and retailer has previously opened up pop-up shops in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles. Now equipped with the know-how to run a physical store, Goop has plans to take its next locale up a notch by offering an exclusive Wonder Woman-inspired collaboration with Valentino, which marks the first time the luxury fashion house has partnered with a celebrity for a collection.
The 25-piece range includes a tulle gown covered with sparkling gold stars for $8,900, and The New York Times reports that there are studded motorcycle jackets ($10,500), leather bracelets ($275) and white sneakers also covered in gold stars ($1,075) up for grabs, too. This high price point is to be expected: Goop's annual gift guide offers such ideas as an exploration at the edge of space ($90,000), an Hermès mah-jong set ($46,000) and 18-karat gold dumbbells ($125,000).
If you're going to be in New York City between Monday, Nov. 23 and Dec. 24, you can stop by the Goop Mrkt at the Time Warner Center. Although, we suggest you make plans to visit on Dec. 2, when Paltrow and Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli will host an in-store event and dinner. Not in New York? Don't worry. Goop will also offer everything on its website beginning on Nov. 23.
