If you're pear shaped like I am, you probably have a healthy number of A-line skirts in your closet. But A-line skirts that aren't conventionally (i.e. insipidly) cut? Perhaps not so many.
That's why I was so pleased to discover this cotton A-line skirt on a recent trip to Rachel Comey's store on Crosby Street in downtown Manhattan. I was first drawn to its rich caramel color, which works so well with the all the black, navy and gray in my wardrobe, but what really sold me was the asymmetric button-down front and hem, which elevates it from flattering staple to statement piece. To boot, it's probably the most comfortable skirt I own.
And did I mention its machine washable?
