As someone whose idea of a loud print is anything that's not striped, wearing patterned pieces isn't exactly my forte. But after finding these silk pants by Veda, I can easily picture myself in a pair of high-waisted trousers sporadically covered with a cactus, peace sign, question mark and the "all knowing eye." According to Veda, these itty-bitty illustrations are interpretations of the brand's signature elements, and have been popping up on the New York label's offerings for a few seasons now. This piece in particular hails from Veda's resort 2016 collection.
I just booked a trip to ring in the new year in Mexico City, and these pants are exactly what I'd wear while traipsing through the Condesa and Roma Norte neighborhoods — paired with black leather mules and a short-sleeve crop top. Once I'm back in New York City (and its chilly winter temps), I'll swap my look for heeled ankle boots, a chunky knit turtleneck sweater and a pair of Uniqlo Heattech tights for added warmth.
