Alexander Wang has a lot of famous friends in the music business, but most recently the designer — whose eponymous brand turned 10 this year — has been spending a lot of time with Toronto-based singer The Weeknd. The duo first teamed up at Coachella back in April, when the 25-year-old artist took over the label's Instagram account using the hashtag #WANGXO to document his experience headlining the festival (while dressed exclusively in Wang's menswear and T pieces). Then, he participated in Wang's anniversary campaign with Do Something, and made his public debut with girlfriend Bella Hadid in the front row at the designer's spring 2016 show.
Now they're taking their working relationship even further with a brand new capsule collection, also called WANGXO, that's co-created by Wang and The Weeknd's XO brand of clothing and merchandise. It will be available for purchase later this month, which is fitting, considering that the singer's "Beauty Behind the Madness" fall tour just kicked off on Nov. 3 in his hometown. Much like at Coachella, his onstage wardrobe will consist of customized Wang styles, and fans can get in on the action by purchasing limited-edition tees, hoodies and bandanas that feature graphics inspired by The Weeknd's logo and lyrics.
While we don't yet know the details on retail availability and pricing, we suggest you hit the merch table at one of The Weeknd's concerts if you're looking to score a piece of the capsule.
