"It" girl/tech mogul/documentarian Alexa Chung and her "horrible" winter skin apparently had some free time in New York on Wednesday, which she used to do a little shopping in Soho in an outfit that looks a lot like what we wear to run errands. And, okay, we dress like this for the office sometimes, too.
She paired a pretty basic wool coat (that, much like my wool coats, could use a bit of lint-rolling) with a simple grey jumper (as she would call it), intentionally ripped skinny jeans and high-top vans, which you can buy here. She's carrying a bag from Trademark, and we're jealous of whomever will be receiving what's inside of it — though no shame if Chung bought it for herself. Also something we would totally do.
The thing to notice, and potentially copy in the future, is the way she subtly elevates the otherwise comfy, tomboyish look with some simple gold hoop earrings, a feminine gold necklace and ladylike black bag. Yet another instance of Chung nailing that whole high/low, masculine/feminine thing.
