Burberry is known for its timeless, classically British aesthetic, but when it comes to its most recent ads, the brand is moving in a decidedly more edgy direction. For fall, Mario Testino captured a handful of cool young Brits (including Keith Richards's granddaughter Ella Richards and actress Holliday Granger) in a high-flash campaign that was a big artistic departure from anything the brand has done before. Now, Christopher Bailey and company have turned an eye to the rising stars of the UK modeling scene, and have cast 11 up-and-comers in the spring 2016 campaign.
Perhaps the most recognizable model of the bunch is Ruth Bell — she's a recent face of both Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent — who poses alongside her twin sister May, both wrapped in the label's popular woven scarves. Also making his Burberry debut is Dylan Brosnan (yes, that's Pierce Brosnan's son), the 18-year-old heartthrob who first earned the fashion world's attention after he appeared in a Saint Laurent campaign in late 2014. The other new talents who round out the cast are Bella Yentob, Hayett Belarbi McCarthy, Eliza Fairbanks, Misha Hart, Liam Gardner, Sol Goss, Ben Gregory and Louie Johnson. In another first for the brand, the full campaign consists of 40 images that will gradually be released in print, online, on billboards and over social media channels from January through June. Now that's a lot of #content.
