Furry high-end shoes have reached peak popularity over the past few seasons, from the heels and slip-on sandals at Céline's spring 2013 show to Gucci's inescapable fur-lined loafers in its fall 2015 collection — with plenty of runway appearances in between. Yet, there seemed to be a "final frontier" for designers in the world of fur footwear: the sneaker. Thanks to Fendi, that's no longer the case, as Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi debuted pairs of the sporty staple done up in the luxe material in the label's pre-fall collection.

The colorful range definitely plays to all things cozy, as bathrobe-style coats and flatform slippers (also made from fur) are among the standout styles. This certainly isn't the first time that Fendi has given its storied fur-centric wares a more youthful spin: Considering how ubiquitous the Italian brand's fuzzy Karlito and initialed bag charms have been among the street style set this year, we're fully expecting to see these shoes keeping plenty of high-powered feet toasty come Fashion Month next winter.
