While spironolactone has taken care of 98 percent of my skin woes, zits still happen — usually after I've eaten a block of cheese in the middle of the night, or not wiped my phone down with sufficient regularity. When a blemish emerged recently before a holiday family gathering, I quickly picked up Glamglow's Supermud Clearing Treatment. I know what you're thinking: $70 for 1.2 ounces of product? You get a sense of how desperate I was. But the Supermud is so dense that I've barely scratched the surface of the pot in the handful of times I've used it to spot treat acne. A little goes a long way towards sucking out impurities from the skin and leaving it soft — fast.

Plus, it's easy to travel with, and we all know how much skin likes to freak out when it's exposed to new air, water and food, right?
