For those unfamiliar with the inner workings of fashion publicity, the firm PR Consulting — run by Sylvie Picquet Damesme and Pierre Rougier — is one of the most powerful in the business, with a client list that boasts the likes of Altuzarra, Dries Van Noten, Christopher Kane, J.W. Anderson, Christian Dior, Rick Owens and Versace. (The list goes on and on.)
But as of Tuesday, the fashion, beauty and lifestyle-centric company has added a client to its list that doesn't quite fit in with the others: Grindr. The app, which is a highly popular all-male social network that boasts seven million international users (including social media enthusiast Marc Jacobs), announced in a release that PR Consulting will manage all of its public relations, effective immediately. Although we're not quite sure where Grindr fits in with the firm's prestigious fashion portfolio — it's the first app that the company has ever represented — we're very, very interested to see how this goes.
