Prince George has once again stolen the spotlight away from his growing royal family with his on-point sartorial choices. For their new Christmas portrait, revealed on Friday, he charismatically donned blue shorts, knee socks and Mary Janes — a favorite look of his — paired expertly with a Fair Isle sweater over a white polo shirt. The portrait was shot at Kensington Palace by Chris Jelf in late October.
Baby Charlotte also looks darling — despite a slight wardrobe malfunction that resulted in one of her shoes being on the ground — in the same outfit she wore for her first solo portrait, revealed last month. Either the Duke and Duchess decided to kill two birds with one stone here, or they're trying to establish a signature look for Charlotte, too: Cardigans buttoned at the top with a floral dress will be her version of the knee-socks-and-shorts combo.
Meanwhile the Duchess, usually the focus of all fashion attention, has her outfit mostly obscured by her children. As they say, Christmas is all about the kids, right?
