Bella Hadid Stars in The Weeknd's New Video for 'In the Night'

The real-life couple shares the screen for the first time.

Musicians and supermodels are an unbeatable combination. In fact, some of the hottest songs of the year had model-filled videos to go along with them: Taylor Swift called upon her #squad for "Bad Blood"; Calvin Harris hired Gigi Hadid to writhe around in his video for "How Deep Is Your Love"; and Chanel Iman starred in the clip that accompanied The Weeknd's hit single, "Can't Feel My Face." The latter artist, who was just nominated for seven Grammy Awards, also happens to be dating one Bella Hadid, making her the obvious first choice to play the leading lady in the singer's newest video for "In the Night," which debuted on MTV on Tuesday.

Following in the footsteps of her older sister, Hadid stars as a dancer seemingly caught up with some shady characters — but luckily, she's quite the badass. In the six-minute short, shot in Brooklyn by director duo BRTHR, things get a little bloody and Michael Jackson vibes abound, both in the song itself and in Hadid's outfit, which involves a red leather jacket and studded Alexander Wang creepers. It's worth pointing out that The Weeknd admitted to Rolling Stone that his first attempt to meet Hadid was by asking her to work with him years ago — an offer she turned down. We're happy to see she's changed her tune. Watch the video in full above.
