I have a soft spot — a weakness, if you will — for sweaters. While I've acquired a grand total of two pairs of jeans over the past five years, and wear three skirts on weekly rotation, I probably have enough sweaters to go three weeks without repeating one.
All of which is to say, I don't need any more sweaters. But this Vera Wang number, with its understated colors and assertive stripes, is totally up my alley. The colors are subdued enough that I wouldn't feel like a walking billboard wearing it, but the graphic pattern is striking enough to make an outfit out of my plainest skirts and jeans. Plus, it's made of a thin merino wool, so it would be easy to layer under my more tailored coats.
It's been sitting in my virtual shopping cart since August, and its appeal has by no means diminished since that time. In fact, it's gotten even greater now that it's on sale. I'm probably going to buy it when I'm done writing this.
Vera Wang stripe detail fine knit sweater, $297.50 (on sale), available at Farfetch.
