Dakota Johnson Opens Up About Her People's Choice Wardrobe Malfunction on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers'

The moral of the story? Don't hug it out too hard while you're wearing couture.

The charming and chic Dakota Johnson is busy making the talk show rounds to promote her new movie "How to Be Single," providing us with plenty of good outfits to admire in the process. On Monday, she dropped by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" — the go-to program for Anna Wintour and co. —  for a little chat, and the sartorially savvy host didn't hesitate to ask her about the unfortunate wardrobe malfunction she faced at the People's Choice Awards earlier this month. While the story is relatively anti-climactic, it does teach us all a very valuable lesson: There is such a thing as hugging it out too hard if you're wearing an Armani Privé crop top. Luckily, Johnson seems to think that the most embarrassing part of the whole ordeal was saying "boobs" on live television. Could be worse, right?

And for the record, she didn't suffer any wardrobe malfunctions in the lovely J. Mendel pre-fall 2016 dress she wore on the talk show, despite her awkward attempts to stuff a pencil down her cleavage. Watch it above.
