Kanye West Assumes Full Responsibility for 'Tight Jeans' in Ongoing Twitter Rant
On Wednesday afternoon from approximately 12:59 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. EST, Kanye West — rapper, fashion designer, aspiring legal pad artist — engaged in an enthralling Twitter rant. Over his 30-odd tweets, many of which have since been deleted, West attempted to rip his peer Wiz Khalifa a new asshole for putting his upcoming album title, "Waves," on blast. In response, West did what he does best: gave himself a bunch of weird compliments — several involving his pioneering efforts in pant trends — leaving the Internet lost, yet entertained, in his tracks.
First, West complimented Khalifa's "cool pants." Harmless, right?

He owned up to screenshotting them, which is more than most of us can say about our own social media-related exploits.

Here's what we believe to be the "cool pants" in question. They're cool! We get it!
Then, things took a turn for the worse. One of West's more memorable comebacks, originally tweeted at 1:23 p.m. EST, is that he made it acceptable for men to wear "tight jeans," a sartorial staple for which Khalifa is often applauded.

West then paid Khalifa a second compliment, followed by a personal confession. (Same, though!)

What came next was perhaps the most Kanye West Tweet of all the Kanye West Tweets. Are you ready?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inexplicably, this is somehow not the first time West has assumed responsibility for a pants-related trend on Twitter. In 2013, he sent out a series of tweets against Jimmy Kimmel, who spoofed West's signature leather jogging pants on his late-night talk show. (Editor's note: This is the tirade that begat the now-iconic hashtags, "#NODISRESPECTOBENAFFLECK" and "ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL.")
The end.
