When Kanye West didn't follow up with his relaunch of G.O.O.D. Fridays last week, wife-turned-spokeswoman Kim Kardashian West took to Twitter that weekend to explain that Kanye was in Italy for a "Yezzy Season 3" [sic] fitting, and "No More Parties in L.A." debuted the following Monday instead. Typo aside, we realized that Kim's message was the latest update on whether West was going to hold a proper presentation for his Adidas collection again. Well, it looks like it's happening. On Thursday evening, Mr. West sent a cryptic tweet to his 17.4 million followers revealing the (alleged) date of the Yeezy Season 3 show.
Thank the Internet gods for using their Photoshop know-how to zoom in on the image, which shows the date Feb. 11 — the same day that 'Ye will drop "Swish" and the first official day of New York Fashion Week. The rapper has always featured new music at his Yeezy events, including "Wolves" during Season 1 — which Complex reported as one of the few confirmed tracks for "Swish" — and "Fade" during Season 2, which this writer hopes is also on the track list because that song is fire AF.
Although the Yeezy hype has a chance of dying down by the end of New York Fashion Week, Kanye has successfully managed to create a lot of buzz among showgoers for the past two seasons. And we don't see this year being any different.
Representatives for both Adidas and the Yeezy line did not reply to our requests for comment by press time.
