In 1998, after a bad haircut, Eugenia Kim created a bold feathered cloche to wear as a disguise. Boutiques in her downtown New York City neighborhood immediately took notice of her inventive design and soon after Barneys New York placed their first order and the Eugenia Kim brand was born.

Launching as a millinery (hat) collection, the brand has since evolved to include other accessories such as scarves, gloves, belts and shoes. In 2004 Eugenia was awarded the CFDA Accessories Designer of the Year award.

With an innovative approach to luxury, the Eugenia Kim brand marries clean, classic shapes with a fresh, feminine modernity and playful sense of wit. Unexpected details, bold colors and rich fabrics are the signature elements that define the collections each season.

Headquartered and handmade in New York City, Eugenia Kim is sold in luxury retailers such as Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, in addition to over 200 specialty boutiques worldwide.

We are seeking creative and ambitious Production Interns. You will be able to see how a luxury brand accessories company works from the inside out, from initial design concepts through production to sales.

As a Production Intern, you will learn a great deal about sourcing, inventory management, quality control and vendor/factory relationships. You will also learn a lot about fabrics and trims as this is a very "hands on" internship. You will constantly be handling the product and learning a lot about high quality craftsmanship. Production is fun for the individual who thrives on being a part of a fast-paced environment, enjoys working hands-on with products and who has interest in international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Running around the garment district on a daily basis to pick up trims and production materials...great way to stay in shape!
  • Sourcing materials and trims
  • Using Excel for production spreadsheets and inventory
  • Quality control inspections
  • Communicating with factories

You must be able to intern 3-5 days per week (M-F) and for 3 months.
Interns are paid hourly & minimum wage ($9/hour).

Please email cover letter & resume in PDF format ONLY with "PROD Internship" written in the subject line to careers@eugeniakim.com.
