Perhaps inspired by Haute Couture Week, which wrapped up in Paris on Thursday, celebrities gravitated towards dramatic silhouettes and beautifully embroidered pieces on the red carpet over the past several days. On Thursday evening, actress Diane Kruger, whom we all know can do no wrong on the red carpet, stopped by the Sidaction Gala Dinner in Paris wearing a ruffled Giambattista Valli dress fresh off the spring 2016 haute couture runway. And to absolutely no one's surprise, she looked perfect and perfectly at ease. Also in Paris: full-time red carpet walker Kate Bosworth, who stopped by the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show in a full look by the brand that, while casual in silhouette, was anything but in fabric and embellishment.

Back in the States, Natalie Portman made the red carpet rounds promoting her film "Jane Got A Gun." The actress stopped by the 2016 New York Jewish Film Festival in a striking red Christian Dior coat with a scalloped hemline (and matching red earrings) for the screening of "A Tale of Love and Darkness," which she adapted, directed and starred in. Paired with black tights and boots, the look was a bit more functional than the flowy, embroidered Valentino gown she wore to the New York premiere of "Jane Got A Gun." Surprise, surprise — she looked great there, too.
