Just because Selma Blair has kept a low profile in recent years doesn't mean we've forgotten about her. While she's been working consistently since 1995, the 43-year-old actress hadn't nabbed many headlines as of late — until last May, that is, when news broke that she would portray the one and only Kris Jenner in the upcoming "American Crime Story" miniseries, "The People v. O.J. Simpson." As pictures of Blair-as-Jenner started leaking and anticipation began building, she's once again become a source of sartorial excitement, with her most recent red carpet appearance taking the cake.
At the premiere of "The People v. O.J. Simpson" on Wednesday in Westwood, Calif., Blair arrived wearing a Grecian-style Derek Lam gown that made our heads spin. The woman looked incredible. Clothing-wise, there's nothing much better than a slinky, white satin gown worn by someone with such a milky skin tone. As we've previously discussed, draping yourself head-to-toe in a fabric as potentially unflattering as silk can be risky, but Blair pulled it off with aplomb (and then some). We would be remiss, of course, if we didn't mention that Jenner-esque pixie cut, which is getting us really psyched for the show's Feb. 2 premiere.
In case you've forgotten, Blair held the prestigious title of Unofficial Chanel Muse for a number of years, appearing as the first-ever face of the house's eyewear line in 2006. Clearly, she knows a thing or two about capital-F Fashion — and she's not afraid to put her repertoire to good use during this press tour. Thank goodness for that.
