"Zoolander 2" kicked off its New York City premiere with a surprise runway show on Tuesday night, and the high-profile fashion-meets-film event wouldn't have been complete without a certain Vogue editor in attendance. If this hotly anticipated sequel got the Anna Wintour nod of approval, it must be good, right? (She happens to have a cameo in the flick, so there's that, too.)
The EIC-turned-actress arrived to the red, er, purple carpet with her daughter Bee Shaffer, a budding producer in the entertainment industry. In typical Wintour fashion, she wore a statement coat and sunglasses, a contrast to Shaffer's more skin-baring Dolce & Gabbana dress. But the woman is famous for flaunting her outerwear choices and her most recent pick — ankle-length, with digitized snakeskin print and a ginormous fur collar — is so badass. With her signature sleek bob and her hands casually tucked in her pockets, Wintour beamed at the cameras because one, film premieres must be a gas — even more so if you're actually in it — and two, do you see this coat?!
Smile for the cameras, Anna. You're a star.
