They're baaaack! Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, television's favorite pair of offbeat stoner BFFs, have returned for a third season of misadventures on "Broad City," which premiered on Comedy Central Wednesday night. As in previous episodes, much of the action revolves around the ladies finding themselves in  — and attempting to get themselves out of — sticky situations, and more often than not, what they wear while it's all going down is a huge part of the fun. Luckily for us, the first episode of the new season touches on some of the most hellish style scenarios that arise in New York: dressing for a hip weekend brunch, braving a Soho sample sale and attending an art gallery opening. Join us as we break down the funniest fashion moments from the "Broad City" premiere, and if you haven't done so already, you can stream the whole episode right here.

The opening scene takes viewers through a montage of the activities that have gone on in Abbi and Ilana's respective bathrooms since we've seen them last. Predictably, there's a lot of smoking weed, hooking up, light reading and pregnancy test-taking — all with ridiculous outfits to go along with them — but our favorite was a shot of the girls primping for a night out, each wearing a different version of "the dress." Which iteration is correct? The world may never know.

The ladies meet up for brunch at a downtown hotspot, but as per usual, the date doesn't go as planned. Not only does Ilana drop the key to her bike lock down a sewer grate, forcing her to wear the 12-pound chain around her waist for the remainder of the episode, but Abbi also ruins her Urban Outfitters wrap top while trying to fish it out. This provides them with an excuse to hit the nearby "warehouse sale," since Abbi needs an appropriate look for her former roommate's gallery opening later that evening. Ilana's on board with this excursion, saying, "Honestly that's the best way to shop: desperate and in a time crunch."

The Sample Sale

It's immediately clear that neither Abbi nor Ilana has attended a sample sale before, as they're completely terrified at the scene they walk into: a fist fight breaks out over a handbag, some dude makes a break for it holding a mannequin and shrill screams fill the air. Ilana makes the rookie mistake of asking for a restroom, to which an employee replies, "We don't even have dressing rooms. This is a pop-up, bitch!" Finally, Abbi finds a suitable option and they make their exit — but not before a greedy deal hunter grabs the stained shirt Abbi ruined at brunch.

In a typical stroke of bad luck, the warehouse sale staffers don't remove the security tag from Abbi's purchase, but there is no time to rectify this: Ilana must put on her doting girlfriend hat and go support Lincoln at his trapeze school graduation. Speaking of hats, Ilana's baseball cap inexplicably switches phrases throughout the episode, and it sweetly bears her man's name during this portion of the adventure. Lincoln does not seem impressed, telling her that she looks like a "DMX video extra."

The Gallery Opening

The pair finally arrives at the gallery, where Abbi's friend Max has a piece on display for the first time. Max is dressed like a bootleg Daphne Guinness — heelless boots, heavy metal jewelry, a collar that looks like a sea creature — and although she's aware of how ridiculous her outfit is, she justifies it by saying, "It's good to have a 'look' around here." The episode comes to a dramatic conclusion that involves Abbi finally removing the security tag from her top, causing blue ink to fly all over the gallery — and her friend's masterpiece. Sure, we'll probably never hear from Max again, but who needs her? All is well in "Broad City" as long as Abbi and Ilana have each other.
