It's been an unusually busy New York Fashion Week for Lady Gaga. Right after performing an amazing tribute to David Bowie at the Grammys on Sunday, she hopped on a plane to New York to support her stylist Brandon Maxwell at his second-ever runway show on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday night, she hosted an intimate party at the Rainbow Room to celebrate the V Magazine issue she guest edited. And she's wrapping up the week with a bang: walking the runway for Marc Jacobs, who custom designed her Bowie-inspired Grammys outfits. She's already been spotted backstage at the Park Avenue Armory, where the show is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EST.
It's the second season in a row Jacobs has cast a surprise celebrity: Beth Ditto memorably walked in his spring 2016 show at the Ziegfeld Theater. Other than that, while Jacobs is known to cast celebrity models like Kendall Jenner, the actresses and musicians tend to stay in the front row.
Of course, it's not Gaga's first runway gig: She walked in the fall 2011 Mugler show in Paris when her former stylist Nicola Formichetti was the house's creative director. She also starred in the music video Tom Ford did instead of a runway show for spring 2016.
Could this mean that Gaga will follow up this season's Tom Ford campaign with a Marc Jacobs one for fall? We'll have to wait and see.
