You may have heard that a little drama went down last week after a report surfaced that Kylie Jenner, sister-in-law to Adidas's lead supporter/cash cow Kanye West, had signed a lucrative deal with competing German sportswear company, Puma. West quickly shot the news down with a series of angry tweets ("1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That's on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!") but the deal began making headlines again on Monday when Nice Kicks reported that the deal was, in fact, on after speaking with Puma brand reps at a trade show in Las Vegas.
Finally, on Wednesday afternoon, Puma released the following statement from its Global Director of Brand and Marketing Adam Petrick to put an end to all of the speculation. Yes folks, Jenner is the new spring face of Puma.
I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that PUMA is indeed working with Kylie Jenner. Kylie will be featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer women's training campaign launching in April 2016. Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion and we couldn’t think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for PUMA.
So get ready to see even more of this pretty teen's face than you already are — if that's humanly possible. (And for the impending Kanye West Twitter rant.)
