New York Fashion Week wrapped up Thursday with some of the biggest shows of the entire week, including Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. And after seven days of consecutive shows and exhausting weather, many show-goers opted to make a minimalist statement in head-to-toe white looks. Consider it a kind of fashion palate cleanser before the circus moves across the pond to London.  We've said it before and we'll say it again — that old "no white after Labor Day rule" isn't a thing anymore, so take a page from these cozy trendsetters and invest in a white robe coat or trousers. It's a solid and fresh alternative to typical black winter looks. Seasonal Affective Disorder may be a myth, but the uplifting affect of wearing white in the winter is very real.
