With New York Fashion Week preparations in full swing, I almost forgot that the Super Bowl takes place this Sunday in California, pitting the Carolina Panthers against the Denver Broncos in an annual football smackdown that I usually see as little more than an excuse to do some extreme snacking. Well, the same can't be said for the Victoria's Secret Angels, who took to the field to demonstrate their athletic prowess in a new video to celebrate the Big Game.
In the clip, a handful of the lingerie giant's contract girls — Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jasmine Tookes — are racing against the clock to bring their team, aptly titled the "Angels," to victory in the final quarter. While their rivals, the "Devils," are formidable opponents, they're no match for Lima's fake-outs, Hill's spin moves and ballerina-like leaps, and Hosk's fearless dive into the end zone. (Surely their coach Erin Andrews taught them a thing or two.) But the best part is the team's choreographed touchdown dance, which some may find to be more entertaining than watching an entire game of football. At the very least, it's way cuter.
Sadly, this won't be airing during the Super Bowl broadcast this Sunday (Victoria's Secret had a much-hyped commercial spot last year), but giving it a watch or five is not the worst way to pregame.
