As is usually the case during Fashion Month, footwear on the runways ran the gamut from the stylishly practical to the fantastical for fall 2016. To the delight of everyone (including team Fashionista), Marc Jacobs sent models out in towering, over-the-top platform boots that, while completely ridiculous, were easily a highlight in terms of shoes for the season. Other notable standouts included Dolce & Gabbana's Cinderella-inspired heels, as well as Dries Van Noten's luxurious, red velvet booties topped with pearls. And on the subtler, more practical end of things, Chitose Abe of Sacai presented sporty rubber-soled booties designed by Pierre Hardy, while at Jason Wu, some demure, velvet low-heeled pumps were a favorite.
