In the years that I've been at Fashionista, certain sartorial addictions of mine have revealed themselves through my editors' picks, seasonal shopping wish lists and market stories — most notably, my affinity for fancy leather jackets, black ankle booties and all things striped. My collection of the latter is easily the largest, but despite this fact, I'm constantly on the hunt for new stripe-y pieces to add to my arsenal.
Unsurprisingly, my latest fixation comes from Isabel Marant, whose linen T-shirts, while pricey, have amassed a cult following among editors, celebrities and generally chic French ladies. Not only do they drape just-so, but they also have a lived-in quality that gives them much more character than your typical tee, elevating them to must-have status within fashion circles. This red, white and blue option caught my eye thanks to its patriotic color palette, which would nicely pop against light-wash denim cutoffs or white jeans once summer rolls around. While it's pretty casual, I could see myself layering it underneath a jumpsuit or pairing it with a fitted skirt and heeled sandals for the office.
Look, I need another striped T-shirt like I need a hole in the head, but since I know for a fact I'll wear this to shreds, it's likely to be one of my first summer wardrobe investments.
Étoile Isabel Marant "Ken" t-shirt, $180, available at Net-a-Porter.
