My brows grow back quickly and with a vengeance every time I get them waxed. Although for the past year, I've noticed a few bare patches that I've started to fill in. I turned to an eyebrow pencil as a solution, which in turn made them look more intense than they already are. I don't mind a strong brow at all, but when my 14-year-old nephew — normally aloof to all things other than YouTube, soccer and his Xbox — started to comment on them, I figured it was time to reconsider my product choices. Plus, my makeup process is pretty minimal to begin with, so the pressure of perfectly penciling in my brows every morning added significantly to my existing anxiety over figuring out what to wear.
When Glossier debuted Boy Brow, I really wanted to give it a try, but the product sold out before I decided to make a purchase. (Also, I still had plenty of eyebrow pencil left to use.) Luckily, a few tubes arrived at the Fashionista HQ not too long ago and I quickly ditched my pencil for the tiny brush and creamy wax formula. The idea of a black pomade swiped across my brows was intimidating at first, but the consistency and color is so faint, it adds the right amount of extra color and thickness to my dark brows. It takes me a total of 30 seconds to use while still filling in the bleak spots that need a little more TLC. I could probably brush my brows for even longer and they would still end up looking totally normal (but better). My nephew wouldn't even notice.
