Kate Middleton Pulled a Full Jackie Kennedy in Red and White Gingham
On the heels of an adorable, snowy ski vacation, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took Friday to meet with members of a mentoring program, XLP, in London.
In a particularly festive fashion, Kate Middleton donned a red and white gingham two-piece from Eponine's spring 2016 collection. The Kensington-based womenswear line is one "inspired by the elegant lines of the Fifties and the unexpected styles of the Sixties" — meaning, the look would have fit like a glove on yet another iconic female dignitary, one Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. But in case her look got too First Lady-ish, what with that boxy jacket and knee-length skirt, she accessorized with solid black shoes and an all-black clutch— both of which were most likely recycled, as she is known to do.
Hey, a little Jackie Kennedy sartorial influence never hurt anyone, right?
