Trip-hop pioneer Massive Attack has released its latest music video for "Ritual Spirit," starring one Kate Moss, on Thursday morning. Moss and Robert Del Naja, otherwise known to fans as 3D, are longtime friends according to a press release, but this is the first time the two have collaborated together on a project like this — despite Moss's lengthy list of past video appearances for the White Stripes, Elton John, Paul McCartney and George Michael, among others.
In the video, Moss is dressed in a nude bodysuit with slicked-back wet hair, twirling around a naked light bulb in a dark room. Overall, it's a minimally artistic performance — and it would probably take some time for a viewer to even notice that it's the Kate Moss in the video. And while the percussion-heavy track, featuring vocals by East London-based singer-songwriter Azekel, doesn't exactly pick up — this is trip-hop after all — Moss's lit (heh) performance gets trippier by the second. By the end of the video, you're seeing double, triple Moss as she's covered with rainbow-colored waves of light. It's as soothing as it is hypnotic, so we suggest you keep "Ritual Spirit" on repeat during your afternoon slump today.
