The Obama family arrived in Cuba on Sunday, marking the first time a U.S. President has visited the island in nearly 90 years. Michelle Obama chose to wear a sleeveless, A-line dress printed with roses and polka dots by Carolina Herrera for the occasion — a fitting look to ring in the spring season. Unsurprisingly, the dress is nearly sold out on BergdorfGoodman.com, but you can purchase a sheath dress version on NeimanMarcus.com and SaksFifthAvenue.com, along with a pleated cloque skirt.

Malia and Sasha, who are spending spring break on this historic three-day trip with their parents, opted for a no-fail style combination: dresses with sneakers. Although Malia descended the steps of Air Force One in a two-piece floral number by ASOS with lace-up pointed flats, she took a fashion tip from her younger sis, who wore a Shoshanna dress with matching black-and-white slip-on sneakers. (You can get Sasha's fit-and-flare look, from the designer's spring collection, on Shoshanna.com and Shopbop.com) By the time the family was spotted wandering about Havana, Malia had switched out her flats for white low-tops. Good choice, Malia.
