The Silly Key Ring That Gemma Bought as a Reminder to Lighten Up

Is it actually working though?

Recently, I was accused of being "toooooooo serious" — yes, with that many o's; I counted — by someone I had never met in person. Which bothered me immensely to the point where I looked up all of the synonyms (po-faced, for one) and tried to see which ones matched my personality and which ones didn't.

Of course I hate that it bothered me so much, but it did get me thinking that maybe I should try to lighten up a little bit. But slowly. And in small ways. For starters, like purchasing this silly key ring that I came across during a casual browse on Topshop's website. It's multicolored, meaning that whoever owns this is definitely not po-faced. And it has googly eyes, meaning that the owner is the opposite of grave, humorless, no-nonsense, severe, sober, solemn, unsmiling, weighty... But who am I kidding? The fact that I even wrote about this pretty much confirms it. And in all seriousness (sigh), I actually just needed a key ring. You know, for practical reasons.
