There have been many wonderful things — life-changing things, even — about getting a dog. After welcoming young Teddy into our household in January, my boyfriend and I have spent much time discussing how much fuller our joint lives have been since being petless. There is not one singular quality I'd change about Teddy, aside from the fact that he has now destroyed two pairs of eyeglasses that belong to his respective human parents. But, you know what — I needed new specs anyway.

On that note, I've been ogling these rad tortoiseshell frames from Warby Parker for some time now. My previous pair were a few years old and, as such, contained a slightly weaker prescription than what it is now. It was time for an update, and these glasses will do the trick. Though the rounded, oversized silhouette is undeniably inspired by the late '60s and early '70s, the lightweight titanium construction gives the pair a more classic, contemporary update. I plan on picking these babies up in the next couple days — and will certainly keep them far, far away from Mr. Theodore.
