Model-slash-actress Cara Delevingne is truly living the best of both worlds. Following in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger, the "Suicide Squad" actress, who most recently starred in an ad campaign for Saint Laurent, has landed a gig as Rimmel's newest ambassador. Her first campaign will debut later this year, the cosmetics brand announced Wednesday.
Not surprisingly, Delevingne's significant social media presence was a draw for Rimmel. "Cara also has a huge online presence and social media following, through which Rimmel can reach out and talk to our core consumers," noted Montse Passolas, Vice President of Global Marketing at Rimmel London, in a statement. Delevigne, who told WWD that her "first memory of Rimmel was watching the adverts with Kate [Moss]" (same), will also inspire future Rimmel products.
And as its first initiative with Delevingne, Rimmel will host its first ever "Snapchat press conference" on Friday, April 15, allowing fans to interact with its newest ambassador in "GEN-Z style." Starting today, Snapchat users can send questions using the hashtag #RimmelxCara, which she'll select and answer live. Guys, don't waste this opportunity.
