I've had many opportunities to hone my airport style over the years, thanks in part to my frequent flights back and forth between New York and Chicago (and other places, too, but mostly that two-hour trip to the Windy City). In that trial-by-error period, I've nailed down a travel uniform that works for me: a T-shirt and skinny jeans, along with a pair of sneakers and, weather permitting, a leather jacket. It's a great standby, but sometimes, I walk off that plane with an imprint of the denim's seams stamped onto my flesh. NSFW! Recently, I came to realize that a pair of stylish, comfortable, affordable and flattering sweatpants would be a nice alternative.
Enter: Everlane's GoWeave Track Pants, which tick off just about every requirement of that aforementioned short list. With a slight drop-crotch and dainty zippers at the side, these bad boys make me feel like a celebrity — Gigi Hadid! Jennifer Lawrence! Candice Swanepoel! — strolling through security at LAX, looking far better than I'll ever look in my lifetime. Paired with a tucked-in T-shirt and a pair of loafers (as modeled above), these trousers have quickly become my go-to companion for all my travel needs. And at just $115 (compared to a traditional retailer's $235), it's a small price to pay for them, period.
Everlane GoWeave Track Pant in black, $115, available at Everlane.
