For a certain generation of women, Garance Doré is an icon: a glamorous — yet charmingly relatable — writer, photographer and illustrator, whose eponymous blog about life, fashion and friendship has served as a guide and companion since its founding in 2006.
Today, that blog is a bona fide media organization, with a full-time staff and growing host of contributors. And last year, Doré added "author" to her ever-increasing list of accomplishments, publishing a memoir, Love Style Life, which hit The New York Times's best-seller list.
On April 27, come hear Doré speak with us about carving out her own career, developing an authentic voice on the web and the secrets to building an engaged community of readers. Those in attendance can participate in a 30- to 45-minute Q&A with Doré, as well as have the chance to network with Fashionista editors and fellow event-goers. There will be food and drinks (if you're over 21), and we hope you leave feeling informed and inspired.
The talk will take place at Space 530 in Manhattan on Wednesday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 (to cover the cost of catering), and can be purchased here. There are only 50 seats available, so act fast! Hope to see you there.
