Now that Kaia Gerber is following in the footsteps of her supermodel mom (who's Cindy Crawford, in case you didn't notice the resemblance), the 14-year-old is stepping up her style game, too. So who better to recruit for the job than Monica Rose? The stylist is known for dressing up the most-followed (and most influential) girls in the modeling industry, including the Hadids, Jenners and Kardashians. And, what better place to strategically show off your new look than the first weekend of Coachella?
The Cool Teen™ made an appearance on the Coachella field in a mix of high and low pieces. The all-black-everything ensemble consisted of a Forever21 top paired with high-waisted shorts by the Australian brand Oneteaspoon and Alexander Wang booties. Gerber's breezy chiffon robe comes from designer Michelle Hébert, who's known for her elegant evening apparel and undergarments. While Rose's aesthetic usually errs on the clean and minimal side, the stylist got into the Coachella spirit by piling on the accessories, including Chrome Hearts jewelry, a Rockins fringe scarf printed with lips and paisley and Ray-Ban sunnies. The backpack, which you can't see in the photo above, is also from Chrome Hearts.
So what should we call this festival look? Rocker-chic? Post-boho wave? Coachella goth? Whatever it is, we like it. Here's to hoping we see Rose and Gerber's relationship continue.
