Liya Kebede looks stunning in truly anything, but she particularly shines in Proenza Schouler. The model and entrepreneur is a close friend of designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez: Not only did she appear in the brand's fall 2015 campaign, but she also shares an offices space with them and regularly wears their designs on the red carpet. On Wednesday night in New York City, Kebede pulled off the ideal evening attire for the chilly, weird spring weather we've been having recently. She paired an extra-long sleeved asymmetrical blazer with a long turtleneck, baggy, wool pants and the Hava bag in black nubuck — almost identical to a runway look from the fall presentation in February.
The draping pieces layer together in a cozy, but lightweight way that still feels perfectly appropriate for a sleek city event. (In this case, Kebede attended the opening night of the 7th Annual Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center.) But perhaps the expert mixture of white, gray and off-white tones is the most delightful part of entire look. In a city where black suits are par for the course, the fresh palette feels modern and risky in an approachable way. Mark another win for Kebede.
