On Thursday afternoon, TMZ reported that Prince (née Prince Rogers Nelson) had passed away at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota at age 57; his publicist confirmed the news soon after. Beginning with the release of his debut album, "Prince," in October 1979, the artist went on to leave an immeasurable imprint in the worlds of music, fashion and beyond.
